Believe it or not, you may not be the only one nervous about your photo session. Photographers get nervous too. I’m not going to lie; I was nervous about meeting Brooklyn and Grant for their sweetheart session in downtown Decatur. Brooklyn was the winner of my birthday giveaway back this summer, but I had never met her. As soon as I met the two of them I was immediately put at ease. These two are so much fun! Grant wants to be a history teacher, so I connected with that right away, and Brooklyn has the most contagious laugh. They have been dating for three years, and their relationship felt so natural.
It’s really hard to schedule fall sessions in Alabama. You never know when it is going to start cooling down. If it does cool down and the leaves turn, you can almost guarantee that we will get a huge storm that blows all the leaves off the trees. The day of their sweetheart session was the first day it actually felt like fall! While the leaves hadn’t started turning yet, the weather was perfect, and the fall light was gorgeous. The grass was still green, but the autumn glow was dreamy. We started the session off at the Old State Bank and then moved to the amphitheater across the street. I love the mix of the old and new. I hope you enjoy Grant and Brooklyn’s fall sweetheart session as much as I do!
Grant really knows how to make Brooklyn smile and laugh!
This was my absolute favorite picture of the night! It was getting dark quickly, but they indulged my need for just a few more shots, and it turned out perfect!
