As we celebrate moving from one year to the next, I always like looking back on my sessions from the current year. I was able to work with so many adorable couples and amazing families in 2018. As I look back on these images, I can’t help but smile at the memories that were captured as well as created during these sessions.
2018 was also a really good year for my business. I feel like I have grown a lot as a photographer, and found a system that works for me. One of the best things that I did for my business this year was to invest in education. I have learned so much from KJ All Access and my mentoring session with Christa Rene Photography. If you are a photographer or business owner I would encourage you to look into education with these ladies. It has been a life changer for my business! I also upgraded all my gear this year, and I am in love with my Nikon D750.
I hope you enjoy looking back a some of my favorites from 2018!
Couples and Weddings
2018 was a big year for Jon and Whitney! Who could forget their sunset engagement session on the Refuge?…
Or Whitney’s bridal session at the house where she grew up?…
Or their romantic blush and rose gold wedding? Seriously, I could photograph these two forever!
Haley and Chase’s sweetheart session was memorable for me because it was my first session after investing in education. I loved how these pictures turned out.
Grant and Brooklyn’s sweetheart session at the Old State Bank was breathtaking! The leaves were just starting to turn, and the golden hour light was a photographer’s dream!
I had the joy of capturing an anniversary party for a godly couple celebrating 50 years together.
Dawn and Jon’s fall pictures with their 4 dogs was so much fun! I had never worked so hard to get everyone to look at the camera.
In the spring I photographed the Nevins Family. At the time it was the largest group I had ever photographed. Their sunset family portraits were
The Hunter family just had their winter family photos last week.
This spring session with two adorable kiddos who love their momma melted my heart!
The Johnson family session was another large one. I knew part of the family before this, but it was great to meet the entire family (even if I did have a hard time keeping all the names straight).
The Montgomery session was in a rose garden in Decatur that I had never shot at before. After taking these images, I can’t wait to shoot there again!
Kids & Seniors
Sweet Maddox’s first birthday pictures were adorable. I have loved watching the precious boy grow up.
Of course I was able to get some pictures of my adopted nephews this past spring as well. I love them so much (even if they are Alabama fans).
I spent a morning gallivanting around downtown Cullman will my sis-in-law and her best friend! Aren’t they just gorgeous?
I became an aunt in November to sweet Caryn Rose. Her newborn pictures might just be my favorite of the entire year (but only because she is the most adorable baby ever!)
I loved serving each of my clients this year! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these moments for you. I am looking forward to working with many more of you again.
HAPPY NEW YEAR and have a blessed 2019!
